The Academic Support Department and the Library
The Academic Support Department (ASD) mission is to provide quality and comprehensive resources and services in support of the research and scholarly activities, teaching, and learning needs of the ADPoly community through the development of a modern library. The ADPoly Library provides you with multidisciplinary and diverse digital and print resources related to science and engineering technology. The library collection includes online full-text journals, databases, and electronic books. The electronic services of the library are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the library portal, and include Ask a Librarian, Document Delivery, Suggest a Purchase, and Course Reserves.
The Library is more than a collection of information resources. It is a place to study, either alone or with friends. Always remember that the ADPoly Library is here for one reason—to help you succeed.
ADPoly offers the Learning Centers' services to allow our students to get help from faculty in English, Math, Physics, and Chemistry. Also, Student Clubs services allow students to share their common interests, gain leadership, and create student activities.
Our goals are to help you find the information using the library resources and become independent lifelong learners.

Vision
The vision of the library is to take a leading role in the fulfillment of Abu Dhabi Polytechnic’s mission, vision, and goals through:
- developing education and training programs to equip staff and students with the skills for lifelong learning
- structuring systems and developing gateways to provide integrated, convenient, and client-friendly access to resources
- developing staff to become innovative information specialists, skilled in providing exceptional service; and,
- contributing to the development and enhancement of a knowledge-based society.
Mission
The library’s mission is to facilitate access to quality resources and services for excellence in research, teaching, and learning by:
- Delivering a range of services and technologies to enable the retrieval of needed resources, irrespective of their format or location, and
- Providing leadership and expertise in navigating an increasingly complex and diverse information environment.
